Bistro 101 A culinary walking tour of Granville Island for those interested.  A Chef instructor from the Institute will guide us around historic Granville Island, leaving from the Bakery 101 site where we will enjoy a freshly baked pastry and a cup of coffee/tea before the tour.  The tour lasts about 1-1/2 hours.
Cost for the tour: $42.00, including tax 
Cost for the lunch: $26.00, includes coffee/tea, taxes and tip (wine extra - you can pay individually for any wine purchases)

Cost for both the tour and the lunch: $68.00, (wine extra - you can pay individually for any wine purchases)

Walking Tour: 9:30 AM,  meet outside the Bakery 101 – 1505 W 2nd Ave.

November 2016 Lunch Meeting

Event:   Lunch at Sala Thai followed by a short walk to the Orpheum Theatre for tea & cookies before the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra performance of “From Russia with Love” features music by Glinka, Liadov, Mussorgsky/Ravel, Rimsky-Korsakov, Glière, Stravinsky, and three pieces by Tchaikovsky.

Robbie Burns Day, January 2016

A Robbie Burns Lunch on January 26, the 4th Tuesday of January (instead of our usual 3rd Tuesday) at St Mary's Anglican Church at 2490 West 37th Avenue, corner of 37th Avenue and Larch Street in Kerrisdale, Vancouver. Traditional Haggis, bagpipes and sing-a-long! 11am arrival time, performances to begin at 11:15am and luncheon from 12:00 - 1:30pm. In addition to the traditional Haggis, Tatties and Neeps (Potatoes and Turnips), a buffet luncheon with sandwich platters and vegetable tray will be served.  A cake will be served for dessert with Tea and Coffee to celebrate Robbie Burns’ birthday.
